What is laser engraving
A laser removes/frosts a thin layer of material according to vector or raster graphics. In acrylic, engraving gives a milky, matte mark in the clear sheet — and with edge lighting (LEDs along the panel edge), engraved lines glow while the rest stays transparent. The engraving is fused into the material, so it doesn’t wear off like a print. For full-colour graphics, UV printing is an alternative.

Why PLEXIPOL
Operating in Warsaw since 1995 (ul. Puławska 48). We combine engraving with laser cutting on the same machine — the part leaves engraved and cut to shape in one pass. We select engraving parameters for the target effect: a clear matte mark or lines optimised for LED edge lighting.
FAQ
How does engraving differ from printing?
Engraving is fused into the material — it doesn’t wear off or fade. UV printing gives full colour but it’s a surface layer. Engraving is chosen for durability and the lighting effect; printing for colourful graphics.
Does engraving in acrylic glow?
With edge lighting (LEDs along the panel edge), engraved lines scatter light and glow while the rest of the panel stays transparent — hence eye-catching plates and signage.
Can a photo be engraved?
Yes, with raster engraving (grayscale/matte tones). The effect depends on the original’s contrast — we advise when reviewing the file.
